Manchester United Makes First Summer Signing

By Gbolahan Adeyemi

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Espanyol midfielder Arnau Puigmal, according to reports in Spain.

The 16-year-old is rated as one of the top youth prospects in Spain and is considered as one of the best academy players Espanyol has produced in recent years.

Puigmal, who has represented Spain at Under-16 level, will now join Old Trafford this summer, according to Sport, who claim that United have reached an agreement with Espanyol.

Puigmal has been with Espanyol’s academy for five seasons and last month he was crowned player of the tournament at the Mediterranean International Cup.

The Spaniard, who is capable of playing in a number of different positions in midfield, has scored five goals in 27 league appearances for Espanyol’s Cadete A side this season.
