Mbappe beats Michael Owen, Messi and Ronaldo to set new record

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe has surpassed Brazilian legend, Ronaldo, former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo to become the player with the most goals at the age of 20.

According to Fox Sports Asia, Mbappe sits comfortably at the top of the goal-scoring list with 73 goals followed by Brazilian legend, Ronaldo (59), former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen (51), Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo (21).

Mbappe came to the spotlight when he made his professional debut for French Ligue 1 club, Monaco back in 2015.

The youngster led Monaco to win their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years, in the 2016/17 campaign and later moved to PSG.

The France international also won the treble – Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue with PSG in his debut season.

Mbappe played a key role in his country’s 2018 FIFA World Cup win in Russia over the summer, where he became the youngest French player to score in the competition.

He also won FIFA’s Best Young Player of the tournament
