Popular Nollywood actress, Nancy Isime, has opened up about why she never fantasized about marriage like many young girls.
In a video shared on social media, Isime explained her unique outlook during an interview on “Creativity Live with Lynda.”
The actress revealed that her focus has always been on building her career and financial independence, rather than viewing marriage as a means of financial security, a perspective she claims some young girls may adopt.
“When young girls used to sit down and dream about getting married, I never did. I used to dream of working and making money,” Isime said. She further emphasized her desire to be self-sufficient, adding, “I can spend on myself so much that another person cannot take the position of if it is not me, you won’t have this life.”
Isime also shared that she is “actually scared of the limelight,” despite her success in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
