Atani, NIGERIA — Operatives of the IGP’s Safe School Initiative of the Anambra State Police Command arrested a male suspect, Eric Nwombu, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for alleged criminal impersonation and unlawful possession of examination materials.
The arrest occurred in Atani after reports emerged that the suspect was collecting 2026 JAMB examination slips from students at a local cyber café. Okay News reports that Nwombu allegedly claimed to be a JAMB 2026 coordinator for the area, a claim that raised suspicion among the computer center staff who subsequently alerted the authorities.
During the operation, police recovered eight JAMB examination slips and an exercise book containing names and examination numbers of students.
