Veteran Nollywood actor Asa Koko has passed away after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.
His death was confirmed on Thursday by fellow actor Kunle Afod, who shared the news in an emotional Instagram post.
Afod posted a video of a recent visit to Asa Koko’s residence, where the late actor, seen with a visibly swollen leg, narrated his struggles with his health and medical treatment.
“May his soul rest in peace. Asa Koko. It’s a WRAP,” Afod wrote in his tribute.
In the video, Asa Koko recounted his experience in the hospital and how he received visits from well-wishers, including a state governor.
“I was hospitalised at Island. I was battling with injuries on my legs. The state governor even visited me during the treatment,” he said.
