Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has terminated his contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor over unresolved issues concerning his salaries, CompleteSports reports.
The news was confirmed by his agent Ayodele Makinwa.
Onazi, the captain of the Super Eagles that lost to South Africa during the June 10 AFCON qualifiers, left after being owed over three months salaries at Lazio during the 2015/2016 season before he joined Trabzonspor last year.
“Onazi has terminated his contract with Trabzonspor but we are talking with the club to find a solution regarding payment,” Makinwa revealed.
He, however, did not disclose the amount nor the number of months owed Onazi.
