Onyeama: 292 Nigerian evacuees from Saudi Arabia arrive in Abuja

292 evacuated Nigerians have arrived in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, from Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, in a tweet on Wednesday announced that the stranded persons consisting of nursing mothers and children arrived late on Tuesday night.

According to Onyeama, the evacuees are “comfortably settled in hotels under the mandatory 14 days quarantine.”

He tweeted: “We received 292 evacuees stranded in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The Saudi Government transported them to Abuja.

“A large number are nursing mothers and children and they are all comfortably settled in hotels under the mandatory 14 days quarantine.”

Okay.ng recalls that the government is evacuating Nigerians stranded across the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
