Pep Guardiola Commits to Man City After Securing Fourth Consecutive Premier League Title

By Yusuf Abubakar

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reaffirmed his commitment to the club following their historic fourth consecutive Premier League title victory.

City triumphed over West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, with Phil Foden netting twice, to edge out Arsenal by two points and deny the Gunners their first league title in two decades.

“When I moved here, if someone had said I would win six leagues in seven seasons I would say you’re insane – no way,” said Guardiola after the match.

“All these players for Manchester United and Liverpool and Chelsea, all these teams. Now is our period. We are part of that.”

Guardiola, 53, has now amassed 15 major trophies in his eight seasons at Manchester City, solidifying his legacy as one of the most successful managers in the club’s history.

His current contract runs until 2025, and despite speculation about his future, the Catalan manager has confirmed his intention to stay with the club.

“The reality is I am closer to leaving than staying after eight years,” Guardiola acknowledged.

“We have talked with the club — my feeling is that I want to stay now. I will stay next season and during the season we will talk.”
