PHOTOS: Mother Stabs Four-year-old Daughter to Death After Argument with Father

Police have arrested Laquita Lewis for allegedly stabbing her four-year-old child after an argument with the father of her baby.

According to reports reaching Okay Nigeria, Lewis’ was arrested after her ex-husband whom she told about the death of her daughter alerted 911.

Fox 26 Houston reports that according to Lewis ex-husband, on Sunday, she stabbed the child multiple times in the chest. And Instead of taking her to the hospital, she left her to bleed to death in the centre of her master bedroom.

He continued that Lewis took the car and drove off only to be stopped by a car accident, and was rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, she had sent him messages confessing her crimes. As soon as he got wind of the killing, he immediately alerted the police who arrested her in the hospital where she was being treated.

Senior Harris County Deputy Sheriff, Thomas Gilliland said: “It’s a very horrific type scene.

“It’s a 4-year-old child. Anytime you have the murder of a child it’s very terrible.

“The defendant told the father that their daughter was no longer alive and was in heaven,” the paper quoted prosecutors as saying in court.

“She told the father she stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife.”

Fox gathered that if Lewis was found guilty of the offence, she would likely face a death penalty for the murder of her daughter.
