Plateau Protesters Hold Interfaith Worship Service on Day 4 of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Demonstrators in Plateau State gathered at the Old Airport roundabout in Jos for an interfaith worship service on Sunday, marking the fourth day of their protests. The service, attended by both Christians and Muslims, featured praises and worship songs, and was a peaceful expression of the protesters’ grievances.

The protesters, who have been gathering at the venue since the commencement of the protest, were reportedly unimpressed with President Bola Tinubu’s broadcast earlier in the day, which they felt did not address their concerns. The leaders of the coalition are currently convening to decide on the next course of action.

Security personnel, led by the Commissioner of Police in Plateau State, were present to monitor the situation, which has remained peaceful over the past four days. The protesters’ demands and the government’s response remain unclear, but the demonstrations are expected to continue until their concerns are addressed.
