President Tinubu Congratulates Governor Sanwo-Olu on 60th Birthday, Calls for Focus on Key Infrastructure Projects

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the occasion of his 60th birthday, commending his unwavering dedication to the progress and transformation of Lagos.

In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, okaynews.com reports that Tinubu described Sanwo-Olu as a committed public servant who has remained steadfast in advancing the developmental vision for Lagos State.

“Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including completing the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor,” the President said.

He further urged the governor to maintain this momentum by prioritizing impactful projects that will benefit Lagosians, specifically highlighting the long-anticipated Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road as critical infrastructure initiatives.

The statement also conveyed Tinubu’s wishes for continued good health and many more years of dedicated service to both Lagos and Nigeria.

Highlighting the governor’s political journey, the statement noted that Sanwo-Olu began his career under Tinubu’s mentorship. He has served Lagos State in various capacities, including as Commissioner in multiple ministries and as Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation, showcasing a wealth of experience in public administration.
