PSG Thrash AC Milan 3-0 in UEFA Champions League

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

PSG earned an emphatic 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the Champions League group stage.

While Kylian Mbappe set the stage with an early opener, the spotlight of the evening didn’t solely belong to the Frenchman.

PSG secured all three points through the captivating performance of the youthful 17-year-old sensation, Warren Zaire-Emery, who stole the limelight by delivering two crucial assists in this resounding victory. Milan found themselves virtually powerless in the face of the teenager’s brilliance, as he played a pivotal role in orchestrating two goals, narrowly missing a third that was disallowed by VAR.

Although AC Milan displayed moments of brilliance, the team’s performance was characterized by a lack of the winning edge on both ends of the pitch.

In attack, Rafael Leao appeared isolated from his fellow teammates, repeatedly attempting solo dribbles against PSG’s formidable defensive unit rather than establishing fruitful connections with his forward companions.

Defensively, Fikayo Tomori found himself culpable for Mbappe’s early strike, and he was also at fault for what seemed to be PSG’s second goal, though VAR intervened, disallowing Ousmane Dembele’s would-be goal due to a foul in the buildup.

The inevitable outcome unfolded as Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-In Lee sealed the fate of the game. Despite a valiant effort by AC Milan’s goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, PSG’s lethal precision in the final third proved insurmountable. This victory solidified PSG’s ascendancy in the group, marking an evening where both established stars and emerging talents shone on the grand stage.
