Rapper Tory Lanez convicted in shooting of Megan Thee Stallion

Rapper Tory Lanez has been found guilty of shooting fellow hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

A jury in Los Angeles convicted the Canadian of felony negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.

He faces more than 20 years in prison.

Megan Thee Stallion, a Grammy-winning rapper, earlier testified that she was shot in the feet after leaving a pool party.

Lanez was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on 27 January.
