Senate okays Dabiri-Erewa’s appointment as Chairman Of Diaspora Commission

The Nigerian senate has confirmed Abike Dabiri-Erewa as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NDC).

Okay Nigeria understands that the appointment was at plenary on Thursday after lawmakers made resolution considering the report of the Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations.

Rose Oko, a senator representing Cross River North, forwarded the report on the floor of the Senate.

Speaking on her nomination, Senate President Bukola Saraki said Dabiri-Erewa deserves the appoinment as he thanked the Senate Committee for its effort in ensuring that the process was speedily done.

“On behalf of the 8th Senate, let me congratulate Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa on this appointment which is well deserved.”
