Sergio Ramos Leaves Sevilla for Second Time After One-Season Stint

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has announced his departure from Sevilla for the second time in his career, ending his one-season return to his hometown club. Sevilla confirmed the news in a statement, thanking Ramos for his commitment and leadership during his brief stint.

Ramos, 38, rejoined Sevilla last season after spending two years at Paris Saint-Germain. He made 37 appearances for the club, helping them survive a difficult season that saw three different coaches at the helm. Sevilla ultimately finished 14th in La Liga.

This marks the second time Ramos has left Sevilla, having first departed for Real Madrid in 2005 at the age of 19. He went on to spend 15 years at Real Madrid, winning numerous titles including four Champions League crowns.

Ramos’ next destination is yet to be revealed. Sevilla will bid farewell to the veteran defender on Tuesday, following his departure announcement on Monday.
