Seyi Shay Reveals Truth Behind Rift with Tiwa Savage, Blames Ex-PA’s Affair with TeeBillz

By Damilola A.

Nigerian singer Seyi Shay has finally opened up about the root cause of her long-running feud with fellow music star Tiwa Savage, revealing that a shocking betrayal by her former personal assistant was responsible for the fallout.

Speaking during an appearance on the Offair Show, Seyi Shay said she only discovered years later that her ex-PA was allegedly in a romantic relationship with Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband.

According to the Yolo Yolo crooner, Tiwa must have believed she knew about the affair and supported it, which caused the rift between them.

“To cut the long story short, it turns out the girl was having a relationship with my girl’s [Tiwa Savage’s] husband and I didn’t even know. She [my ex-PA] told me all of that. It must have been true; I don’t think she would say all of that as a joke,” Seyi Shay revealed.

The singer recounted that she ran into her former aide in London years later, and it was during that encounter that the truth came out.

“When she told me this I was disgusted because we were rolling together and doing things together, meanwhile Tiwa probably thought I knew about it,” she added.

Seyi Shay expressed sympathy for Tiwa Savage, admitting that she understood the pain such a betrayal could cause.

“You can just imagine the anger. It’s so painful. If that was me, I would have done worse,” she said.
