Tems earns Golden Globe nomination

Nigerian singer and songwriter Tems has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

Tems was nominated for a Golden Globe alongside superstar Rihanna, composer Ludwig Göransson, and director Ryan Coogler for their collaboration on the song “Lift Me Up” from the 2022 blockbuster film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In a tweet, Marvel Studios congratulated the nominees and shared the news with their followers. “Congratulations to Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson for their Golden Globe Nomination for Best Original Song! #WakandaForever #GoldenGlobes,” the tweet read.

An excited Tems also reacted to the news of her Golden Globe nomination by expressing her joy over the recognition. “My God!! this one is too much,” she wrote on social media.

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place on 11 January 2023, and Tems and the other nominees will be hoping to take home the coveted award for Best Original Song.
