Tinubu Postpones Ogun Trip, Heads to Jos Over Plateau Killings

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

ABUJA, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned visit to Iperu and will instead travel to Jos to commiserate with victims of the recent attacks in the state.

According to a State House statement by Bayo Onaonuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, made available to Okay News on Wednesday, the President’s visit to Jos is aimed at expressing solidarity with the government and people of Plateau State following the deadly gun attacks that claimed several lives.

After the Plateau visit, Tinubu is expected to proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday. He will then travel to Ogun State on April 4 to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at boosting import and export activities.

The President is also scheduled to inaugurate the new Federal Operations Unit facility of the Nigeria Customs Service, along with operational vehicles to strengthen its activities.

During his stay in Lagos, he is expected to commission several infrastructure projects executed under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, including the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, and other key developments.

Tinubu will later visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri, as part of his broader multi-state tour.
