Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Economic Revival, Poverty Alleviation

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated the Federal Government’s dedication to reviving Nigeria’s economy and uplifting the poor, okaynews.com reports.

Speaking at the 11th Triennial National Conference and 101st anniversary of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria in Abeokuta, Tinubu, represented by Ogun State Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, emphasized the administration’s “renewed hope agenda.”

“We are focused on reviving the economy, uplifting the poor and restoring confidence in public institutions,” Tinubu said, urging Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence, equity, justice, and compassion as pillars of national greatness.

The President acknowledged that these goals require collaboration with credible organizations and support from all Nigerians. He praised Ansar-ud-Deen for its century-long contributions to Islamic education and community development, noting, “The society has become a critical pillar of our national fabric. Your impact is visible across generations, particularly in your ability to nurture God-fearing, intellectually sound and socially responsible individuals.”

Tinubu called on Muslims to be ambassadors of justice and peaceful coexistence, highlighting the conference’s theme, “Islam and Muslims: Responsibilities and Relevance in a Pluralistic World,” as timely and relevant. He encouraged participants to generate practical recommendations for youth development, moral leadership, and economic empowerment.

National President Dr. Abdulrafiu Sanni described the conference as a platform for reflection and future strategy, reaffirming the society’s commitment to education, moral upbringing, and national unity. Other speakers echoed calls for unity and peaceful coexistence.
