Bundesliga club Freiburg has signed Australian winger Brandon Borrello from lower-league Kaiserslautern on a free transfer for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old played 20 games for Kaiserslautern in 2017/18, scoring three goals and providing eight assists before a knee injury ended his season.
Borrello was in talks with Freiburg before he tore the ACL in his right knee in April, with the club still happy to sign the speedy winger as he continues his rehabilitation.
