Usher Collaborates with Pheelz on New Song ‘Ruin’ for Upcoming Album

Renowned US singer, Usher has teamed up with Nigerian producer and artiste, Pheelz, for his latest track titled ‘Ruin’.

The song is part of Usher’s upcoming album ‘Coming Home’, set for release on February 9.

The R&B sensation unveiled the tracklist for his album via Instagram, revealing a star-studded lineup featuring Pheelz and Burna Boy among others.

Burna Boy contributes his distinctive vocals to the album’s opening track, ‘Coming Home’, while Pheelz showcases his production and songwriting prowess on ‘Ruin’, the tenth song.

Usher’s collaboration with Pheelz marks his debut into the Afrobeats genre, a move eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.

‘Ruin’ is a melodic, mid-tempo track that delves into themes of heartbreak and emotional vulnerability, with Usher crooning about how his past love has left an indelible mark on him.

In the song, Usher sings, “Bae, you gave me all these memories that I regret, all I can do is congratulate, ‘cause you ruined me for everybody.” Pheelz adds his own touch with a verse that reflects on personal struggles and the quest for inner peace.

Accompanying the release of ‘Ruin’ is a vibrant music video that transports viewers into a mystical mansion, where Usher navigates through its labyrinthine corridors, grappling with his emotions. Eventually, he encounters Pheelz, and together, they confront their shared heartache.

Usher’s musical journey spans over two decades since his breakthrough album ‘My Way’ in 1997. Throughout his illustrious career, he has dominated music charts and received numerous accolades, including Grammy, Soul Train, and BET Awards.

Pheelz, on the other hand, made waves with his 2022 hit ‘Finesse’ featuring BNXN, showcasing his versatility as a producer and artist. Signed to Warner Records, Pheelz has earned acclaim for his talent and continues to make strides in the music industry.
