What Riyad Mahrez said after scoring solo goal against Chelsea

By Promise Amadi

Riyad Mahrez scored a stunning solo goal as Manchester City completed a fine comeback against Chelsea on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead when N’Golo Kante slipped the ball past Ederson from Marco Kovacic’s aerial pass.

However, Kevin de Bruyne leveled the scoreline 1-1 when his shot hit Kurt Zouma and wrongfooted goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Riyad Mahrez sealed the victory with a brilliant jinking run.

Speaking after the match, the Algerian captain said:

“It was a difficult game but we reacted very well after we conceded the first goal. This type of game it’s most important to get three points.

We’re not going to play very good all the time.”

The 28-years-old winger has been involved in 10 goals in his 11 starts for Manchester City this season.
