Nigerian pop star Wizkid, stopped by the BET office to recreate a popular scene from the classic movie, “Coming to America.”
In the short parody, Wizkid and co recreate the scene in “Coming to America” where Prince Akeem Joffer is recognized as a prince by a native of his country Zamunda.
In the spoof released by BET, Wizkid is recognized by a loyal fan, who begins to bow and demand for a selfie from the obviously embarrassed artiste.
The original “Coming to America” movie features Eddie Murphy as a Prince, who keeps his real identity a secret in America while he searches for true love.
Wizkid is nominated for Best International Act Africa at The 2017 BET Awards, which is set to take place on June 25, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
