Global technology company Zoho has partnered with Babcock University through the Babcock Centre for Executive Development (BCED) to equip students with practical digital skills in low-code application development, under its Young Creators Program.

The three-day workshop, which trained over 50 students from disciplines including Computer Science, Business, and Information Technology, introduced participants to hands-on problem-solving using Zoho Creator, the company’s low-code development platform.

The initiative aimed to help students design and deploy custom business applications without requiring advanced programming skills, while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through the use of modern cloud-based tools.

“As part of our commitment to supporting local talent development in Nigeria, we are excited to collaborate with Babcock University to equip students with future-ready digital skills,” said Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head, Zoho Nigeria. “Through the Young Creators Program, we aim to empower young innovators to build solutions that solve real business challenges while strengthening the local technology ecosystem.

According to Ogundare, the collaboration reflects Zoho’s mission to democratize technology by making digital tools accessible to young creators and entrepreneurs who are driving Africa’s next wave of innovation.

The partnership between Zoho and BCED is also the beginning of a broader strategic collaboration to deliver future-focused programs that combine learning with real-world application. Plans are underway to integrate Zoho’s suite of business applications into Babcock University’s entrepreneurship curriculum, ensuring students gain practical exposure to using digital solutions for enterprise management, productivity, and growth.

“We are committed to preparing our students for leadership in a rapidly evolving digital economy,” said Dr. Ayodeji Ajibade, Director of the Babcock Entrepreneurship Development Centre (BEDC). “Partnering with Zoho strengthens our mission by providing students with access to industry-standard tools and practical learning experiences that bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application.

Through the Young Creators Program, Zoho provides hands-on training opportunities for students worldwide, helping them apply low-code technology to solve local and global challenges. Since its launch in 2022, the initiative has trained over 2,000 students globally, empowering a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs to thrive in the digital economy.
