Kwankwaso Praised as Reno Omokri Urges Support for Tinubu’s Re-election

Reno Omokri has described Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as a “great Nigerian,” while calling on supporters of to maintain decorum and civility in the political space ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement on Monday, Omokri appealed to Tinubu’s supporters to treat Kwankwaso with respect, especially amid indications that the former Kano governor may align with another opposition platform. He stressed that political engagement should not descend into insults or hostility, noting that healthy opposition remains essential for democracy to thrive.

Okay News reports that Omokri argued that with the next election approaching, the conduct of political supporters could influence broader alliances. According to him, a respectful and mature approach may encourage opposition figures to support stability, including adherence to the principle of power rotation between Nigeria’s North and South.

Highlighting achievements of the current administration, Omokri pointed to several infrastructure and economic projects impacting , including the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline, rail developments, and major road reconstructions. He also noted increased federal allocations to the state, suggesting that continuity in leadership could sustain ongoing development efforts.

Omokri concluded by urging Nigerians to focus on unity and national progress, rather than political hostility, while acknowledging Kwankwaso’s contributions to the country’s democratic journey.
