Lagos APC Sets N5.5m Nomination Fee for Chairmanship Aspirants Ahead of LG Polls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has unveiled its nomination and administrative fees for aspirants contesting the July 12 local government elections, okaynews.com reports.

According to the party’s guidelines, chairmanship hopefuls are to pay N5 million for the nomination form and an additional N500,000 as an administrative fee.

Female chairmanship aspirants will pay a reduced nomination fee of N2.5 million, while still paying the N500,000 administrative fee. Youth aspirants under 40 years old are also eligible for a 50% discount on the nomination fee, but must pay the full administrative fee.

For persons living with disabilities, the nomination fee is waived entirely, with only N250,000 required for administrative purposes.

Councillorship aspirants will pay N1 million for the nomination form and N100,000 as an administrative fee. Female and youth councillorship aspirants will pay N250,000 for the nomination form, with the same N100,000 administrative fee. Disabled aspirants for councillorship positions will get the nomination form free, paying only N50,000 as an administrative fee.

The party emphasized that all payments must be made via bank draft, and aspirants must present stamped payment receipts to collect their forms. The election will be held across 20 local governments and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State.
