Uzodimma Backs Tinubu for 2027 Re-election, Says Opposition Has Nothing to Offer

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Imo State Governor and National Co-ordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hope Uzodimma, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027, dismissing the opposition as having no alternative vision to offer Nigerians.

Okay News reports that Uzodimma made these remarks on Monday during the opening of a two-day South-South Zonal Summit for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Asaba, Delta State.

He emphasized that President Tinubu’s bold macroeconomic reforms—including the removal of subsidies and the restructuring of distorted revenue systems—are successfully stabilizing the country. While acknowledging the temporary economic pains currently felt at the grassroots level, the governor tasked the political ambassadors with bridging the communication gap between the government and everyday citizens to help them understand the long-term benefits of the administration’s policies.

The summit, themed “One Party, One Message, One Mobilisation,” also featured remarks from Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who stressed the need for unity and grassroots engagement to prevent fragmented messaging and translate political support into electoral victories.

Former Delta Governor and South-South Coordinator of the initiative, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, alongside South-West Coordinator Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, echoed these sentiments, urging the ambassadors to actively counter misinformation and defend the administration’s reform agenda across the critical region.
